I was at the Metallica concert in Geneva yesterday. Metallica play on this tour in every country something local that had a great influence on the history of music. In Switzerland, of course, it was only logical that something of Celtic Frost must come.
I do not want to criticize how the whole thing was performed ...

Well, I saw that too this morning ...
ok, the intention is respectable but this performance is unfortunate. Just do nothing instead of this.
Again, no doubt about the honesty and the willingness about this tribute.
When I clicked, I was so excited but disappointed at the end. Rob is definitely a good guy but obviously the 2 performers did not work enough. Incredible to say that when we talk about the impact of Celtic Frost. I thought these riffs were part of their background. Apparently not.

I agree with you, Megiddo.
It would have been more respectable if the whole band had played it properly, especially when dedicating it to a recently deceased member, a sloppy jam just doesn't cut it. Hearts were in the right place but not really the brains, I'm afraid.

It sounded ok, I guess. I'll definitely forget about it and continue to listen to the original, though.

Ha! I took it as “I do not want to criticize how the whole thing was performed .... but I’m absolutely doing it in my head”.

Absolutely. It was like DL mentioned already. “Hearts were in the right place but not really the brains, I'm afraid.”
