The downtuned guitars do not make it heavier imo. E-tuning is perfectly fine. The same is true for too much distortion, which doesnt always serve the purpose of heaviness. I actually prefer Martin‘s defined bass tone to Triptykons distorted sound. Just my two cents...

But downtuned guitars made it much more heavier in CF. I just can't imagine some other album by Tom with no Baritone.
