Two artists for Triptykon -- I can't help but wonder if one of them is Giger.

Something tells me that is Giger, but I don't know if my intuition is right...

Would be interesting if we have a special Triptykon package, containing a CD digipack deluxe edition + t-shirt with the artwork + a poster or flag with the artwork and band picture.

What do you think guys?

Deni

Hell yeah.

Well, if it was Giger... (And I'll crap myself if it was ....being the fan of his artwork! you know. I am)

What pic by Giger whould you choose?
Man, thats hard... I must look upon The Necronomicon books (For hours I'm sure) to pick. This is fun.

I am totally converted to the idea that J.U. Abrahamson will do the cover of the first Triptykon...

Maybe one of the artists Tom has mentioned is J. U. Abrahamson.
I hadn't thought about it before...

Anyway, thanks to Baphomet for the links.

Had to think about it for a couple of minutes. About that Giger thing: Been there, done that. I hope for something new and fresh.

I thought I'd read somewhere that Giger doesn't do two-dimensional artwork anymore.

No doubt Giger's influence will be apparent in other ways on this record.

Who said that the artwork of Triptykon would be in two dimensions?

Anyway, I believe like Chris that Giger has a profound influence on Tom and that we will hear this influence in the music, rather than see it in the artwork. But any kind of artwork Giger can deliver for 'Eparistera Daimones' would be welcomed by the most of us...

And Tom is always quite enigmatic about these things, but when we are wrong, he doesn't hesitate to point that out to us. And thus far he is silent... Are we on to something? Wink

Man, you know what I was thinking was some of the photos Tom has posted over the years we saw . Like the background on the Triptykon site! That would rule. Something dark. I'd be happy!

Looking at the pic on the website: why is Tom the only one out of focus?

I thought about that as well. I figured it was simple mechanical limitations of the photo equipment, but perhaps the choice to use it is deeper in meaning-

Perhaps this is an underlying message that this is a band, where the members are pulling their weight, as well as pushing ideas forward and supporting them, rather than reigning them in to within their mechanical and mental boundaries.

That's how I always viewed ITP, especially after reading Tom's book. "...it's the development of the idea that counts" (perhaps paraphrased).

Because everybody has already seen me ad infinitum, unlike the others.

Sometimes I am at a loss regarding certain items discussed here. Would we really post a photo that is accidentally unfocused? I mean, c'mon. A bit of imagination and artsiness, please.

Yeah yeah, just hurry up with that album so that we can go really really really in depth here with all music and lyrics that have escaped your mind, Herr Fischer...
