I bought a copy on a silver printed CD of the NEMESIS OF POWER.
It has a 4 page booklet (white inside) and on the back cover there is the tracklist and 'for promotional use only'.
To be a homemade bootleg seems too perfect, it looks like an original CD.
Sorry for my ignorance about it, but the Nemesis of Power demo has ever been officially printed as silver printed CD 'for promotional use only'?
The sound is really great indeed.

Tom could shed some light on this, I don't know how the demo looks like... I only know the material.

Well, if i have the time i will post some photos of my cd.
In this way we'll see it 'live' and maybe talk about its origin.

Please do post some pictures. It would help the rest of us catalog and quantify (or even verify) what something is, or who it's actually coming from. Any identifying details are helpful, even barcodes, or anything else. Thanks!

I think "Nemesis Of Power" demo never was officially released on CD. If I'm not mistaken, Tom himself only has the demo recorded on tape and all the copies I have seen during these years were recorded from tapes to CD-Rs.

The same thing has happened with the 92 demo.

I'm not the authority on this, but indeed, all I've seen are the tape to CD-r versions of this.

But then again: a demo with good quality sound could be something people can trade for...

You can post them on a site like flickr and leech it from there. I guess Zane will be quite happy with some pics of this demo and see if it can be used for the content on the website.

Yups, it's fake. The heptagram is the one that was published on the website when the plans were to call the comeback album 'Probe', around the 'Prototype' era. The line up that performed on the demo was not including Martin and Stephen Priestley, the drums were even done by Reed St. Mark. And finally 'Under Apollyons Sun' was not included on the original demo. It's from the sampler 'Parched With Thirst Am I And Dying'. So unfortunately: you bought a bootleg. But a bootleg on which the bootlegger was smart enough to say it's for promotion only.

Maybe we can include a bootleg section on the site? Iron Maiden's Steve Harris collects bootlegs from Maiden, so he might have an extensive overview. When we all combine our knowledge of bootlegs, we might map out what's out there right now...

I supposed it was not an original things, also because i paid it low price.
Anyway a well done bootleg, even for the sound.
The strange thing is that at the time i bought it i found only one auction on ebay and never saw again that bootleg.
Usually at least 200-300 copies are printed, but never saw it again (maybe it has been sold using other channels).

BOOTLEG SECTION: well if the band(s) do agree it's a very die hard fan collector thing, i always watch the bootlegs sections in websites if they do exist.
And also a DEMO section would be very interesting too: for example i didn't know that on the Nemesis of Power demo was Reed back on drums.
Actually i didn't know the exact lineup, so when i saw that photo Tom-Martin-Stephen-Curt i did believe it was true (excuse my total ignorance).
It's nice to see demo covers when they exist, it's nice to know who composed music/lyrics when the songs remain unreleased, and also to know the lineup that played on that demo, song titles and interesting comments like 'this song is actually the one published on that album with different title and arrangements'.

Finally IF THE ARTISTS would let the fans hear those songs, that would be orgasmic, but that's another story Smile

See if you can get a copy of 'Are You Morbid?' by Tom G. Fischer. That has A LOT of info on these subjects.
