Check at second hand sellers, there is no current print of the book.

USD 19.99
GBP 12.99

Roughly from about fall/winter 2000, if I'm not mistaken. I got mine during Christmas of 2000.

It's a fantastic read. One thing is that I would not get ripped off on buying it, unless you value it for a collection. I'm hoping the revision of the book will come out in the future, but there are lots of projects Tom is working on right now, I guess. So just spend your money wisely, and scan around...I've heard of some waiting and then getting a copy for less than the ripoff prices. I think we've also helped one another in the past to get copies when they became available through some sites that were bringing prices closer to reality.

Also, keep in mind that the book was published when Celtic Frost was dead, roughly about two years before the rumors of a reunion were confirmed. Some portions may reflect that state.

thanks a lot for the infos.
Sadly i must say that, despite a lot of sellers for this book, their prices are not less than 60/70 US Dollars (Amazon). Gonna check Gemm and Ebay ( Crying or Very sad ) now.

You know, I'm a fan, first and foremost, so I can't tell you not to pay the price. The book is brilliant and I hold strong emotions for it.

You're a fan, and perhaps your emotions can justify nearly any attainable cost. Just try to shop around Wink

I don't know if you guys are willing, but I know some of you watch out for stuff. Perhaps you can assemble a small group, via private means, to scan and inform others of sales popping up in order to avoid blowing up pricing.

That's a wise advice.
Don't spread the word that an 'item' is sought after 'cause it will become immediately a moneymakermachine.
I'm sure that, here or there, exists a seller that doesn't know what he has in his hands.
It's a matter of time and patience.
Anyway if i find 'the right seller' i'm more than willing to inform via PM or e-mail other members of the Forum who are interested in the book.

I was going to suggest in the past that if you guys are interested, set up an AIM chat room for those times you want to get info together, or an email list might be better gmail offers the facility for chatting as well, and tacks them onto correspondence threads. I've looked into chat programs that are embedded on sites and every single one I've tried or used has been buggy and causes problems. It could simply be easier to run an email list, that way you know who is getting the messages and then an easy alert can go out.

The same thing has happened with the 92 demo.

siibii, let me correct it. The detailed info about the 3 demos of that period was posted here by Tom some months ago. Here go them:

Quote:
Then, there were three demo recording sessions for the abortive "Under Apollyon's Sun" album:

- 1991, Zurich: The songs "Under Apollyon's Sun" and "Idols Of Chagrin".

- mid 1992, New York: a completely misguided demo session during which just about everything went wrong that can go wrong. These recordings were subsequently never used for record company showcases or anything else.

- December 1992, San Antonio: "The Nemesis Of Power" demo, which was far a more organized and professional session but still shows a group which is far from the heaviness and power exhibited much later on "Monotheist".

I have a decent copy on CD. If you've got something to trade, PM me and I'll see if I can work something out.

I'll listen to a bit of anything. PM me with a short list of anything you have that's rare or unusual and we'll see if we can't work something out.

Obscure black and doom metal works for me.
