Hellhammer never played a gig, outside of the rehearsal bunker, as I understand it.

Does anyone know if Celtic Frost every played any Hellhammer songs?

Actually just last night Triptykon played a Hellhammer song live. This was the first time Tom played Hellhamers material live other than in the bunker!!! Truly a historic moment for metal....

Exactly, chief. That's why I was asking if CF ever did. Laughing

I think that playing that kind of old-school stuff may reflect in
future to-be-written traxs ;]

CELTIC FROST have played "Messiah" back in 1985, when they had to "stock-up" their Setlist, for example at the "World War III Festival" in Montreal.

You could often hear on old livetapes from 1985 that Tom announces "Necromantical Screams - Buried And Forgotten" as the next song, and before that some words about "an old Hellhammer song".

They probably did "Dethroned Emperor" every night (?), so you can count couple of "Power of Satan" riffs in as well.

I 've heard a bootleg tape , in '85 exactly . This year i knew a guy whose 'd got a incredible colection of demos tapes and lives bootleg . I remember one of them , a Celtic Frost live tape : The band began the set with the first riff of " Triumph of Death " like an intro and , after it was a complete CF gig .
