Obviously, Hellhammer had a big influence on second wave Black Metal bands. That, I think, is beyond discussion now.

Several years ago, however, (maybe here, maybe on the old official board), Doc started a discussion about CF's influence on non-metal bands. (Maybe CF being thanked in the liner notes on Bleach?)

Anyway, this old conversation came to mind the other day as I was listening to Triumph of Death on AR. Is it just me, or do the drums not sound like something that Dale Crover was listening to. A lot.
