EDIT: "Breathing" also...
EDIT2: Between "Aurorae" & "Demon Pact" the silence between the Tracks (2 LP only)
EDIT3: Between "In The Sleep Of Death" & "Black Snow" the silence between the Tracks (2 LP only) but here it's "tolerable".
EDIT4: The End of "Waiting" (2 LP only)

I've got a guess ...

I don't notice something wrong , really . Mine is perfect . except the central hole of Vynil n2 , a little too narrow ...

At the end of "Boleskine House", it is already getting quite still, the sound disappears, comes back, and is "cut off". The whole perhaps takes place within a maximum of four seconds.
The same with "Breathing" ...
In the transition from "In The Sleep Of Death" to "Black Snow" is also heard something very small in silence. But as I said, here you have to listen very concentrated. (Tolerable)
In "Waiting" at the end again the same as in "Boleskine House" & "Breathing" ...

after several careful listens, I did not notice any flaws on my vinyls. But believe me, I'm a very maniac on such small details.
Personnaly , not only about Music Art , Perfection is also applied on this very beautiful manufactured double- piece Cool

It looks like the album did very well here in the states (IMHO). According to this site:

http://www.metalinsider.net/columns/metal-by-numbers/metal-by-numbers-423-charts-get-sevendust-ed

"Triptykon, Melana Chasmata (Century Media) #141, 2,950 sold" (for Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart).

The album was also #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

Agreed!

It also did pretty well in Europe, (especially NL, FI and CH) according to these numbers:

ch (Switzerland) - Peak: 32 / Weeks: 2
de (Germany) - Peak: 69 / Weeks: 2
fr (France) - Peak: 162 / Weeks: 1
nl (Netherlands) - Peak: 11 / Weeks: 1
be (Belgium) - Peak: 140 / Weeks: 1
fi (Finland) - Peak: 16 / Weeks: 1

From Billboard.com (via wiki), more first week chart positions for Melana Chasmata:

US Independent Albums (Billboard): #33
US Billboard 200: #171 (so, not #141, as reported above?)
US Top Hard Rock Albums (Billboard): #11

I listen to this record every day since I got it, and every day I try to remember points to come back here to the forum with, only to be forgotten in the daily grind.

One thing that sticks with me as of this writing, is that we have seen on Melana Chasmata (Breathing for example), the genesis of a new 'feeling expression' in Toms vocals. i.e. the now beloved and timeless "Ohh!" and "Hey!", I get a huge smile when he rips out a "Daaah!"

As each day passes I'm finding this album to be better than Eparistera Daimones. Theres so much more emotion in it. While ED felt much pent up energy and anger, MC runs the gamut of emotional states, emotional states which manifest within me as I listen.

Agreed, and if I may add, Demon Pact delivers the same vocal extremity found in Breathing. The passage of time in Toms career is only proving to better his vocals. The raw energy and emotion found in his voice on this album is just jaw dropping.

true . but IMHO , the most extreme Mr G. Warrior vocals performance is Triptykon performing Hellhammer's "Triumph Of Death" at Neudegg Alm near Abtenau , on June 23, 2012.
everyone remembers the Sig Swat video .

I don't recall this being posted anywhere here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6TvHiG3OtI

It's "Into Despair", the Japanese bonus track. Sounds lovely.
