I just received the news that Martin is dead due to heart attack. I really hope that's not true!?

It seems to be true...

Tom's FB profile post:

"Celtic Frost, "Totengott", lyrics and lead vocals by Martin Eric Ain, music by Tom Gabriel Warrior, recorded in December of 2005. This was the final musical collaboration between Martin and me, and it now will remain so forever."

RIP Martin[/img]

Martin will always be remembered for his creative effort with Celtic Frost. His collaboration with Tom was true magic, from Hellhammer to late Frost. Loved his bass tone, thrashing stage presence and passion for concepts and lyrics. Rest in peace, Martin

I just read the news and immediately came here for absolute confirmation before even going to FB.This sucks.Seeing Frost play in 2006 was one of the greatest live music experiences of my entire life.Getting to briefly meet Martin after the gig certainly capped the entire night.I really can't add anything else to what GigerFrost already wrote:

I am shocked. I only ever exchanged very brief words with him — I sort of assumed that our paths would cross again at some point.

50 is so young — I’m 47 myself and 50 doesnt seem nearly as old as it did 20 years ago.

I echo those very same sentiments. Seeing the reunited Frost in 2006 in Montreal was a dream come true. I just remember shaking his and Tom's hand post concert and thanking him for all of the great music over the years.
