In recent times, bands like IRON MAIDEN, ME*****CA, etc, have played one of their albums in full at their concerts. So, just for fun, if CELTIC FROST were to do the same, which album would you most like to be played?

INTO THE PANDEMONIUM

But has to be right though. With a dark setting and the extra brass section and the woman vocalist.

Hmmm...my two picks would be either:

1. "Into The Pandemonium"

2. "Monotheist"

In fact, up until 2006, ITP was always one I would have loved to see in its entirety. However, since the release of "Monotheist" and the variations in the material on that album, I would definitely be drawn to seeing that one also performed in its entirety. Watching the band close with "Synagoga Satanae" at their shows was always a highlight for me on the tour (I also saw them do "Ground" and "Ain Elohim" at different times). Guess I'm torn here...

Abso-fucking-lutely.

It would be a dream come true to hear them perform this album live with a string quartet, operatic vocalists etc.

This would be a big production expensive though. Maybe at some point in the future. Right now, I'd be happy enough if they added 'Inner Sanctum' to their setlist.

My favourite album is Into The Pandemonium but I think Monotheist performed live would sound better, because of it's heaviness Twisted Evil

1. To Mega Therion
2. Morbid Tales
3. Monotheist
4. Into The...

Actually, I wanna hear all the songs from Into The Pande. Few songs I heard from that album totally kicked ass.

I went for MORBID TALES. No CF gig would be complete for me without DETHRONED EMPEROR, MORBID TALES, etc etc. Though I agree with what you guys say about INTO THE PANDEMONIUM and MONOTHEIST if they were performed in full, both albums would make for very atmospheric shows... maybe CF should just play each venue six nights in a row, and perform a different album in full each night! Well, maybe five nights, as I guess most of us would not want to hear COLD LAKE in full... Wink

We played "Morbid Tales" almost in its entirety (the song missing was "Nocturnal Fear") during some of the shows of the "Monotheist" tour, although not in the proper running order. As for the other albums, we have been talking about possibly doing something like this at some point in the future.

I would love to listen all the albums recorded by the Frost in its entirety on live sets, including V/N and excluding CL, of course.

But from a historical perspective, my vote surely is for ITP. Not only because the variety of the material, but for all the album had/has created into the Metal scene.

I'm with you! I would almost be more inclined to say "Monotheist", simply because I would LOVE to hear "Os Abysmi Vel Daath" played live; I maintain that that is one of, if not THE darkest, heaviest songs I have ever heard. To Mega Therion follows closely behind the aforementioned two, cos it has "Eternal Summer" on it...hell, I'd be happy to hear any of them; it would just be especially nice to hear the songs off of any of their albums played in the proper order, just as the album would play. I know it would be somewhat of a novelty concert, but I'm very excited to see Tom's above post that says that maybe this little fantasy could actually happen! Twisted Evil

Since I fell in love with Monotheist I dreamed of a show with that album only... in a dark and small club, of course Wink

I hope something like that will become true some day!

Just like Zane, my two picks would be:

1. ITP

2. Monotheist

The renditions of Mesmerized and Ain Elohim were the best of the whole show I attended in London.

Interesting that Monotheist has now edged out TMT. TMT and ITP were neck and neck there for awhile.

For me, TMT will remain the quintessential CF album, rightly or wrongly, because it was the first that I really listened to. Innocence and Wrath sucked me in to a different world and the rest of the album closed the door.

When I first heard the opening bit to Crypts of Rays, which we now know as "Human," I was actually scared. That shit was creepy, back in 1985!
