I just watched Peter Jackson's 'Braindead' with my brothers. It's one of those films that makes you want to laugh and vomit at the same time.

I love that movie. Good for laughs.

Jackson's early movies are brilliant. Anyone seen 'Meet the Feebles'?

Sky Crawlers

Beautiful piece of cinema , but then again , anything that Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell) does is simply brilliant!

And yes Wilmarr , "Meet the Feebles" was absolutely hilarious .... although I felt kinda "dirty" after watching it lol

Das Leben der Anderen. This was a pretty damn good movie. Have you heard any stories from that time, Doc? Do people seem to think that the movie is accurate?

2001: A Space Odyssey. Actually been busy discovering the parallels with Nietzsche's 'Thus Spake Zarathustra', hoping to do a promotion research on that subject, but it has already been done...

Hunger -- about the conditions at the HM Prison Maze and Bobby Sand's hunger strike. There was a lot of stuff going on back then that I didn't know about. I didn't understand a lot of what was going on until I read wiki. "Dirty Protest", indeed. This one will stay with me for awhile.

The Omega Code and Megiddo... Boy did those movies suck, but I loved the over-acting by Michael York. Yes, he seems to live... But overall, the quality of both movies was doubtful.

Yesterday I tried to watch 'Naked Lunch', but I wasn't really in the mood for talking cockroaches...

Is The Omega Code the movie that starts with a scene where the female lead is out with her boyfriend/companion/whatever and they are swinging? I think I have seen this and, indeed, it is awful. (And I don't say that very often.)

Knut: no it's the one in which a professor mythology tries to fight the antichrist. 'Megiddo' is kind of a remake, since the Antichrist died in The Omega Code. Stone Alexander was his name, not Damien Thorne this time...

Last night I watched 'Terminator Salvation'.

What a load of cobbled-together bollocks that was. Had they even SEEN the original films? Two thumbs down.
