Only on this forum can someone in 1978 feel "very young". My god we're a bunch of old fucks.

Anyway, we didn't even have access to radio. The "good" stations in my area played Top 40. We mostly learned about new bands through the few magazines we could get out mitts on and, of course, the guys at the two records stores in the area that sold metal. For whatever reason, I never got into the tape trading. Mostly, I guess, because I didn't have any money for postage.

Congratulations Tom for the amazing partnership on the creation of the artwork for the Triptykon debut!
My intuition about a Giger work for the artwork was right!

The different layouts for the mediabook and the double LP releases are just fuckin' fuckin' brilliant!!!

I am with you Deni!- Warrior has some impeccable taste in Art. He also displays such loyalty & integrity through reintegrating Giger into his life's work. This was an honorable decision for Tom. By so doing he is igniting the passion for art & music intertwined in a profound & moving way. This will be a dark & beautiful album.

What I actually admire in the artwork for the Triptykon album, is that in no way the logo is draped over the artwork. The artwork is, on the cover, a standalone. It is not soiled by logo's or letters from a title, which only can be found in the passe partout around the work. A great tribute from one artist to the other!

Also it looks like Giger has given the band the go ahead to use the artwork (in tasteful ways) for promotion. Even large-sized images of the album are available through the CM links.

It looks like they will each bring one another to a new generation through this collaboration.

This image is so detailed that a Logo or whatever would have destroyed the dark inner self of this pic. It took me many years to make the decision to get this one as a tattoo. I would love to hear Mr. Giger´s own words about this one.

Hey -- has anyone looked at the title page over at the Triptykon website?

Nice.
