Got mine beautifully.

Told a buddy about it, he got it, loved it... He went to buy another, and it's again "unavailable" but, for some reason, it's also marked down to $19. WTF? Weirdness abounds.

All the best,
PAULIE

I did notice that the top of the jacket of my copy was pretty well crunched. In fact, the white cardboard itself is visible.

Purely speculation, but I wonder if these copies came from a box that was somehow damaged?

You are probably right. Sometimes these "damaged" copies (bent corners, etc.) get set aside on the initial offerings because they are deemed less "valuable". As a result, they are "buried and forgotten" (sorry, I couldn't resist). Then, when "Inventory Time" comes around or by random chance, someone finds these and decides to offer them up for sale. Although if they are damaged copies (at least in the case of CM Distro), I wish they would put that in their text blurb. Did anyone else get copies with bent corners, etc.?

Weird. I just got notice that it is about to ship.

I am still shocked at the price. If TGF weren't involved, I would swear that it must have been pressed by hand by blind children in Sudan.

Knucklehead

I am not involved with this release. Nor with any other Hellhammer or Celtic Frost release after July 2009.

Century Media's graphic designer approached me some months ago to approve the artwork of this limited edition "Demon Entrails" picture disc set. He did so because he has been a good friend of mine for many years who has also worked with me on Triptykon's first album and Triptykon's first EP, and because the original artwork on "Demon Entrails" was created by me in 1984. I looked over the draft he supplied and suggested a few minor changes, which were duly incorporated.

But that is the full extent of my involvement. The idea to release such a limited edition picture disc set is not mine (as much as I do like the finished set), nor have I been involved in determining the price and edition, nor have I received any financial advance for it, nor will receive any financial royalties from its sales.

As has been known to any follower of Hellhammer's/Celtic Frost's/Triptykon's affairs, I left the company we formed behind Celtic Frost in summer of 2009, and I have ceded all rights and royalties to Martin Eric Ain and his company (which includes the final drummer of Celtic Frost). The event was decsribed here, in 2009:

http://fischerisdead.blogspot.ch/search?q=ain+gmbh

My only "gain" from the "Demon Entrails" picture disc set are a few free copies of the set (sent to me by Century Media).

For whatever reason, I hadn't realized that you had also relinquished rights to the Hellhammer material. An ostensibly extreme act, the result of desperate times.

And, so the record is clear, when I referenced Tom being involved, I was thinking more of the quality control that is characteristic of prior releases and merchandise. We've discussed that here before, but, as an example, my Morbid Tales shirt is still going strong, over 6 years on.

EDIT: I've never been able to keep "disparate" and "desperate" straight, as far as the vowel follwing the "p" goes.

No, I wouldn't say that. It just looks it was the victim of misfortune. The package is otherwise great.

I also just received a copy of the rerelease of Symphonies of Sickness by Carcass. It seems to have had a similar fate. I think maybe it is just my bad luck.

Anyway, I'll try to post pictures in the next day or two.

Ahhhhh a shipping and handling issue. That is unfortunate. The new Nachtmystium arrived mangled about a month ago.

You should see how I received the boxes of personal items I sent from the US to Germany. 7 weeks of transit didn't do wonders for them, I assure you.

Maybe 2/3 the original height, 1/3 extra length, if that gives you any indication of how they arrived.
